The Asia Pacific Urban Energy Association (APUEA) is a member-based sector association with a mission to promote Sustainable Urban Energy in the Asia Pacific Region. We focus on Urban Energy because cities occupy only 2% of the world's landmass but consume over two-thirds of the world's energy, and account for more than 70% of global CO2-emissions. So, cities play a key role in the energy transition and to meet climate targets like carbon neutrality by mid-century. So, it is important to address heating and cooling, and especially cooling in Thailand and ASEAN countries.
ASEW is a well-established event for more than 3. Decades and the largest event in ASEAN on the topics Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Environmental, Bio Energy and EV Technology, the event offers a great platform to drive the energy transition in Thailand and the ASEAN region. It is a platform to meet and network with local and international industry professionals through seminars, workshops, exhibitions and get contacts for future collaboration and business.
The Energy transition to a sustainable future cannot wait!
JGSEE is the joint graduated school of environmental and academic institute. We do believe that the current situation of energy in Thailand and ASEAN will be move toward to the concept of the carbon neutrality and the net zero greenhouse gas as proposed by the government in the COP26 event. We have the aim in Thailand like we are going to reach the target of carbon neutrality in 2050, also the net zero greenhouse gas emission in the 2065.
We do believe that the knowledge sharing and technical sharing among experts and participants are very important. So ASEW event, we invited a lot of expert around the world to share the knowledge to participants in Thailand and also in ASEAN. So, we do we believe that this kind of event are going to be very useful for the people who's in the energy sector or the environmental sector to fulfil or to understand the concept of carbon neutrality and net zero greenhouse gas.
