ASEW Webinar #9 "Accelerating District Cooling Developments in Thailand"
During the COP26 Meeting held in Glasgow last year, the Prime Minister of Thailand declared that Thailand's goal is to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and accomplish Net Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 2065. In order to fulfill these pledges, Thailand has updated its Energy Master plan and increased targets for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency. At the same time, District Cooling has attracted attention in Thailand, both from the private and public sector, as an energy efficient, environmentally friendly and financially viable solution to meet growing cooling demand and as support for the country's goals on climate targets.
This is an international webinar of the ASEW webinar series on energy and the environment. The webinar is co-organized by Informa Markets and the Asia Pacific Urban Energy Association. This webinar aims to discuss how to accelerate district cooling developments in Thailand and benefit from international best practices and regional experiences. It will be delivered by some of the world's leading experts, innovators, and visionaries. New ideas and insights from world-class experts will lead to discussion of the practicalities of existing and potential future district cooling projects, different urban energy schemes, and policy needs from hands on experience. The session will also look into the design, operation and how to invest in district cooling projects, in Thailand, ASEAN and Globally.
This half day webinar is a must-attend event for policy makers, entrepreneur and professionals leading their organization and communities' s carbon neutrality and net zero transition.
