"The National Energy Plan 2022 is aimed at supporting energy transition towards Carbon Neutrality and conforming to the 4D1E Policy which consists of Decarbonization, Digitalization, Decentralization, Deregulation and Electrification. The Ministry will promote the Electrification strategy by supporting EV and related supply chains. Thailand is moving towards being a major production hub of EV (and parts) by promoting the Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV). The 30@30 policy aims to promote domestic production of EVs as 30 % of total production by 2030 and to develop the battery industry to reach a 40 GWh Giga Factory by 2030."
"To drive the country's electrification plan, the Thai Government has declared EV as an official industrial economic development of the future. EVAT aims to support the government plan to stimulate the growth of the EV market by working with stakeholders on a number of initiatives and support schemes for EV growth. The fundamental platform will include new technologies, education, and knowledge sharing seminars to stimulate public interest. This is important to exchange know how, viewpoints and ongoing development in this new era of automotive technology."
"PEA has implemented innovations and technology improvements to support organization performance including projects on renewable energy, energy conservation and distribution system improvement using digital technology such as the Smart Grid project and Net Zero Energy project. Thailand has adjusted its carbon reduction target to Net Zero Carbon Emissions within 2022-2027. The government's policy of converting all manufactured vehicles to EV by 2030, we will see potential electric vehicle growth especially vehicles used in various organizations, public buses, passenger vans, logistic trucks, large tractors, aircraft tow tractor, armored vehicles, etc. This is possible as the production cost and the cost of EV batteries have been greatly reduced. This provides an opportunity for us and we therefore continue to invest in research and innovation.
